Family Trip to the Beach

We went to the Avon Beach on Cape Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the entire week last week. Cape Hatteras and the Island below it are unique in that they are mostly part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and are parks. Little villages crop up between the parks.

Lucas loved going to the beach and playing the water. I hope to post some video of him doing so soon.



JB and Cynthia rode the motorcycle down the Blue Ridge Parkway to N.C. and joined us at the beach.



We had great weather, but there was a lot of ice eating to cool off.



We made a day trip and took the ferry over to Ocracoke for the day.



Sebastian thought the boat was OK...



But Lucas LOVED it.
