Yogurt is once again on Lucas's list of favorite foods. It's great fun to eat and excellent for perfecting your spoon skills.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning brought another bought of present opening. Lucas didn't know why, but when we told him that we were going upstairs to open some presents, he was immediatly excited.

Christmas Eve Dinner

We celebrated Christmas Eve dinner at our friends' Pia and Daniel's. It was a full house...

We played a game where we had to cut a molded flour mountain with a ring on top without making the ring fall. Lucas and Pablo look on while Nicole makes her cut.


Pablo and Lucas have a turn.


OH no! The ring fell. Pablo had to pick it up with him mouth.


Lucas thought that it was hilarious.



We had a visit from Santa that, unfortunately, provoked much fear in the little ones...


...and everyone ate their fill.

Dec. 22nd More Presents!

Pablo tries to enlighten Lucas to the benefits of reading the card before opening the present....


But the lesson fell on deaf ears...

Excitement over this gift really improves when Lucas recognizes his own artwork displayed in the frame.


It's important to play with all the new toys as soon as you get them.


It's great to color in the tent, b/c then you can't color on the floor or the walls!

We Celebrate Lucas's Birthday

We celebrated Lucas's second birthday this afternoon. When he got up, we decided to prime him and practice blowing out candles.

The big challenge here was getting him to blow.

But he did it the first time!!

Later on that day his friends came over and we had a puppet show.



Cake was had by all.


Lucas LOVED the party hat and the foil blow out was one of his favorite discoveries.


It was also the begining of a quick learning curve to understand what exactly "presents" were.
